First Meeting

Earlier today, a group of men interested in defining their lives, rather than having them extrinsically defined, met to discuss how to do so.  It was a meeting largely concerned with introductions as most did not know each of the others.  The group also began to investigate the concept of manhood.  What is it?  How may it be reasonably and acceptably defined?  How does one become a man?  When does one become a man?  How can one know that they "have arrived?"

The initial steps of the journey will be explored in the context of the book The Resolution for Men (Kendrick, S., Kendrick, A., Alcorn, R. [Ed: Kimbrough, L.].  (2011).  B&H Publishing Group: Nashville).  We intend to begin by meeting every other Saturday morning (i.e. next is on 12/17/2011).  We will be acquiring copies of the book for use and intend to start by reading the first 50 pages by the 17th.

If you have an interest, post a comment and someone will contact you (i.e. e-mail) with further details.

The world will continue to be a difficult place, but the men in it, who are true, can never fail.
